Learn for Chaya Tova Bat Raisel V'Calman Z"l (Karen Leipsic z"l)
Shloshim/ Yartzheit

As you already know, we have had to reschedule the Mosaic event following the passing of our honouree's mother. The year of mourning brings with it certain challenges, and in order to ensure that the event is conducted in a manner that is both meaningful and respectful of the laws and traditions of avelut, we have chosen to dedicate a communal study of the Book of Proverbs (Mishlei) in memory of Karen Leipsic Z"L.

Mishlei consists of thirty-one chapters. Its opening chapter contains the stirring exhortation, "אַל־תִּטֹּשׁ תּוֹרַת אִמֶּךָ" - "Do not forsake the teaching of your mother," while its concluding chapter presents the timeless portrait of the Eshet Chayil, the Woman of Valour. As one of the central works of biblical wisdom literature, Proverbs offers enduring insights into character, relationships, and the challenges of everyday life.

Through this shared act of study, we hope to honour Karen Leipsic's Z"L memory and create a fitting tribute rooted in Torah, wisdom, and community.
